Don Rodie
Don’s life has been quietly shaped by a love of music and a commitment to serving others. He began piano lessons at age five, added drums at twelve, and eventually found his home on keyboards. In high school, he studied composition and arranging by correspondence, later earning a B.A. in Music Composition and running a small production company writing music for TV and radio commercials in Los Angeles in the early 1980s.
After a thoughtful reassessment of his path, Don transitioned into commercial real estate, shifting his musical focus to contemporary worship. Over the next four decades, he ascended to Managing Director at the international firm of Cushman & Wakefield, advising major corporations on office space and workplace strategy, while consistently playing in worship bands for a variety of church congregations.
Now approaching professional retirement, Don is grateful for the opportunities he’s been given and the people he’s served along the way. He is eager to bring both his business experience and his lifelong love of songwriting to support the growth and mission of the Whitefish Songwriter Festival.
